I haven’t written a blog post in a while so I thought I had better get my act together! What better subject to talk about than my favourite? CATS! So some of you may have seen on my social media that I recently attended and traded at Cat Fest London! I had the best day surrounded by fellow cat people and it was also really successful for me too!
Cat Fest London was the FIRST cat festival in the UK! When you attend a new event, you never know how they are going to go! They are always going to be a gamble! But this event is only going to get bigger and better than the first which I thought was amazing! There were a few tiny blips with setup and the venue not being suitable for everyone but considering all of the hard work put into creating this event, I think it should only receive praise!
It was a fun packed day with lots of fantastic talks, stalls, special guests and of course cats to adopt! I’ve been a cat lady for many years and even I came away with some information that I didn’t know about kitties! The most exciting part for me overall was not trading at the event… But meeting Street Cat Bob!! Yes, THEE Street Cat Bob!! He was a little grumpy but I did manage to get a pic of him with the portrait I drew of him for his owner James. James even asked me to sign it which I thought was mega sweet!!
I was of course dressed for the occasion wearing my cat pinny! Even the boyfriend had his cat tee on! It just had to be done! I was ready to mingle and I met lots of lovely people on the day, inluding My Purrfect Gift Box, From Me To Mew, Nat Cats and more! Some celebrity kitties were also there on the day including Main coons Artemis and Apollo and Persian Starina! I came away with lots of goodies for my kitties Teddy and Gizmo and a couple of things for myself too! I’m surprised a kitten wasn’t one of them!!
I have been so fortunate since the event too. Lots of work has come my way such as working with Purrfect gift box and My purrfect Cat Gifts are stocking my work! I will definitely be back next year as it went so well! Thanks to everyone who stopped by and had a chat or bought from me. You really did make my day!! I will see you in 2019!
